Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade are heading to Monte Carlo, where they will face AS Monaco for EuroLeague Round 9.

As coach Giannis Sfairopoulos announced before the team's last practice, captain Branko Lazic and guard Yago dos Santos might not be able to play due to illness.

"We have small problems with Lazic and Yago," the Greek tactician said.

"Both are sick. They will be with the team, but we will know more about their availability on Tuesday morning."

Sfairopoulos, who has thus far guided Zvezda to a 4-4 record, called Monaco "a very good team that is built to go to the Final Four, an athletic team with the same coach, who has kept its core together for some time."

Sfairopoulos acknowledged that Mike James is always the biggest threat for any opponent visiting Monaco, but stressed that Red Star can't focus on one player only.

"Mike James is one of the best in the Euroleague, but we have to take care of everyone," he stressed.
