"We didn't bring the right energy or intensity to compete against a team that plays very well together."Fauthoux said after the 77-65 loss.
He emphasized how Bourg struggled to match Lietkabelis, especially on the road, where they had difficulties last season as well.
Fauthoux, however, was quick to praise Francisco, who has been making waves at Zalgiris.

"He’s really grown. I worked with him in his first professional season, and to see him now performing well for Zalgiris is great news," he said.
The coach acknowledged Francisco’s strong start in the Lithuanian league, noting that his development is crucial for both Zalgiris and the French national team.
"His performances are key for the national team, and I’m happy to see him progressing at such a high level," Fauthoux added.
Reflecting on Bourg’s season so far, Fauthoux admitted that the early losses could have affected the team’s mindset.
"We’ve started the season poorly, and maybe that gets into the players' heads a little. But we need to stay focused and keep building," he said, pointing out the challenges of developing new players and maintaining team chemistry.
Fauthoux also commented on the broader outlook for the French national team, noting the potential of young stars like Francisco and others.
"We have a lot of talent, but with young players, you never know how quickly they’ll develop," he remarked.
"With talents like Victor Wembanyama and Francisco, we have a bright future ahead." he added.
The coach remains hopeful that this new generation will continue to grow and make an impact on the international stage, with players like Francisco leading the way.
