The Israeli organization announced that Jordan Loyd is leaving the club on a mutual agreement.

Loyd, his family, and representatives of the Maccabi organization met on Wednesday to discuss the player's future at the club due to the recent uptick in military actions in the regions, especially after the Iranian missile attack in early October.

"Obviously, there's disappointment, but we also understand the situation," Or Shkedy from Walla Sport cites an unnamed member of Maccabi.

"On the one hand, we built on Jordan to lead the team, he's the most valuable player in the club. He is a very important part of everything built here. On the other hand, the player had a night that he could not forget. His family made it clear that they are not ready for him to return to Israel, and in this situation, we have no choice but to end his journey. We believe that another player will arrive here in the near future."

Loyd will forego his $1.1 million yearly salary, Shkedy writes. The 31-year-old guard already has an agreement with another EuroLeague club, he adds.

Additionally, Maccabi announced that four foreigners - Rokas Jokubaitis, Levi Randolph, Jaylen Hoard, and Alpha Kaba - will return to Israel after the EuroLeague game against AS Monaco for the Israeli League game against Ness Ziona on Sunday. Jasiel Rivero will not travel with the team.
