Mindaugas Balciunas was elected as the new Lithuanian Basketball Federation President. He received 84 out of 147 votes, beating former basketball player Robertas Javtokas.

Mindaugas Balciunas was elected as the new Lithuanian Basketball Federation (LTU Basketball) President.

Balciunas' term will last until the end of September 2028. He will replace Vydas Gedvilas after working alongside him as Secretary General in the previous term.

The 47-year-old Balciunas beat the former basketball player Robertas Javtokas after receiving 84 out of 147 votes.

This will be Balciunas's first term as the LTU Basketball President, although he started his work in the federation in 2006 as the Secretary General.

Balciunas worked as the LTU Basketball Secretary General from 2006 to 2013, making his return in the same role in 2021.
