Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens are about to sign yet another big name this offseason.
According to SDNA, the Greek organization has agreed to a two-year deal with Omer Yurtseven.
The deal includes an opt-out clause after the 2024-25 season. The player will earn around 1 million euros per season.
Yurtseven will join Mathias Lessort and Aleksander Balcerowski in the backcourt.
Earlier this month, PAO's head coach Ergin Ataman, who has also coached Yurtseven in the Turkish national team, gave the green light to the club to sign the big man, and the two sides will ultimately work together despite Yurtseven trying out for several NBA clubs throughout the summer.
Yurtseven averaged 4.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per game for the Utah Jazz last season. Yurtseven had signed a two-year deal with the Jazz in 2023, but the second year of the contract was non-guaranteed, and the player is now a free agent after getting waived.
Before playing for the Jazz, Yurtseven represented the Miami Heat, averaging 5.2 points and 4.9 rebounds in the two seasons with the club.
