Diakite was firstly traded from New York Knicks to Brooklyn Nets as part of a Mikal Bridges trade, after that, Nets traded him to Memphis for Ziaire Williams.
Diakite also played for Milwuakee Bucks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs.
Last season, Diakite played 6 games, 3 for Spurs and 3 for Knicks, averaging 4.0 points, 1.0 rebounds and 0.7 assists.
