Anthony Edwards says nobody had skill before the mid-80s and 90s when Michael Jordan came around and claims everybody is now skilled in the NBA.
Anthony Edwards led Team USA through the first four games of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. The entire tournament culminated in the US winning gold in a tight final against France. Now, the focus goes toward the upcoming NBA season.

"I dunked on Kevin Durant. The second day, I dunked on him in practice," Edwards said when asked about his favorite memory from the Olympics in an interview with Lane Florsheim from the Wall Street Journal.
Edwards answered a variety of questions, including an inquiry about his opinion on the older generation of players.
"I didn't watch it back in the day so I can't speak on it. They say it was tougher back then than it is now, but I don't think anybody had skill back then. [Michael Jordan] was the only one that really had skill, you know what I mean? So that's why when they saw Kobe [Bryant], they were like, 'Oh, my God.' But now everybody has skill," Edwards claimed.
Edwards is known for his self-confidence both on and off the court. "I haven't found it yet," he said about whether he's bad at anything on the basketball court.
In his fourth year in the league, the 22-year-old averaged an impressive 25.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.3 steals per game for the no. 1-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves.
Despite being the leader of a playoff team, Edwards doesn't focus on winning the championship.
"I don't know too many guys who won a championship super young besides Kobe. Other than him, everybody took years and years of losing to get there. I just want to keep taking the next step," he said.
