Matt Thomas has extended his contract with ALBA Berlin for another year, ensuring the shooting guard will remain with the team until at least the summer of 2025.
Matt Thomas will continue to wear the ALBA Berlin jersey next season, as the team officially announced.
The 30-year-old shooting guard has extended his contract for another year, keeping him with the Berlin team until at least the summer of 2025.
Thomas was a key player for the Albatrosses in last season's German League playoffs, averaging 14.4 points and boasting a solid three-point percentage of nearly 50 percent.
"I am very happy to return to ALBA. This is the first time in my career that I can stay with the same club and in the same city for a second season," Thomas told the official ALBA website. "Having this continuity and stability was an important factor in my decision. I look forward to building on last season and continuing to work on improving and achieving better results as a team."
The former NBA player and EuroCup champion (2019) with Valencia arrived in Berlin last summer after a brief stint with Panathinaikos. He then penned a one-year deal.
Thomas averaged 10.1 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 7.9 PIR over 30 EuroLeague games last season, playing 22 minutes per game. The American player shot 43.2% from the three-point range, making 63 threes in 146 attempts.
