USA qualified as the best team in the entire group stage, cruising past Group C with a perfect 3-0 record. Meanwhile, Brazil finished Group B with a 1-2 record, but it was enough to qualify as one of the best 3rd-placed teams.

The winner of the game will play Nikola Jokic's Serbia in the semifinal, which beat Australia 95-90 in an overtime thriller.
