Serbia and Charlotte Hornets guard Vasilije Micic talked about the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics game against Team USA, calling the Americans one of the best teams in the last decades or two.
Serbian national team prepares for one of the biggest games in the 2024 Paris Olympic basketball tournament, as the Eagles are set to face NBA star-studded Team USA.
Ahead of the game, Vasilije Micic didn't argue that it would be a tough game, but he still believes in Serbia's capabilities.
"We'll play against one of the best teams in the last decade or two," Micic told BasketNews. "But as we always think – it's just a game. I think we also have a good team. We couldn't have a full roster in all friendly games, but last two games, we had a full roster, and I think we looked good."
"Of course, when you come into competition, it's always different because there is a nervous part, it's a first game. But I think we are experienced enough and mature enough to handle all of this, and I hope we'll have a good game," the Charlotte Hornets guard added.

When asked to compare the legendary 1992 Dream Team to the current Team USA, Micic shared his thoughts only on today's team.
"I can't really talk about it because I was born in 1994. But after experiencing NBA games this year and witnessing these guys and how they play, I can tell that they are so talented," Micic admitted. "No matter how old they are, they are unbelievable professionals and a great example for all European kids. It's definitely something that I'll be very happy to play against.
Serbia and Team USA had already played an exhibition game, in which the Americans won easily 105-79. However, Micic believes this doesn't mean much.
"We missed two important players – Bogdanovic and Milutinov. They are very important for us. I can't say we are better than any of them, but with those two guys, we are just a more complete team," Micic argued. "They have very deep roster, unbelievable rotation. But at the end of the day it's just basketball. If you put your best effort and play really smart for 40 minutes, there are always chances."
