Errick McCollum is set to stay with Karsiyaka Izmir for his third season, as they build a promising roster for the Turkish league and BCL campaign, according to BasketNews sources.
Errick McCollum, one of the top scorers in the Champions Basketball League, is set to remain with Pinar Karsiyaka Izmir, sources tell BasketNews.
Per sources, McCollum is expected to continue on a new two-year deal.
Karsiyaka is once again building a promising roster, having recently announced the signing of former Valencia Basket and Maccabi Tel Aviv forward James Webb III.
They also signed Jerry Boutsiele, one of the top rebounders in Turkey last season, and Fatts Russell, one of the top scorers in the league.
McCollum has been the top 10 scorer in the BCL for the past two years, coming off as a EuroCup scoring leader in the 2021-22 season.
In the last BCL season, the 36-year-old guard averaged 15.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.1 steals in 26 minutes per game.
In the Turkish league, he recorded 19.8 points (59.6% 2P, 42.0% 3P), 3.1 rebounds, and 5.8 assists in 27 minutes, helping Karsiyaka reach the semifinals.
McCollum showcased his scoring prowess with four 30+ point games in Turkey, highlighted by a season-high 38-point performance against Tofas Bursa.
During the quarterfinal and semifinal series against Galatasaray Istanbul and Anadolu Efes, respectively, McCollum maintained averages of 23.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists.
