Cunningham, who was the top overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft, showcased solid statistics last season, averaging 22.7 points, 7.5 assists, and shooting 86.9 percent from the free-throw line.

He stood out during scrimmages against Team USA in the summer of 2023, which bolstered his confidence for what has become a career-best season.

The former Oklahoma State standout was eager to make an impact ahead of the 2023-24 season after being sidelined for nearly all of 2022-23 due to a stress fracture in his shin. He played in only 12 games following a promising rookie campaign where he appeared in 64 matches.
