Charlotte Hornets waived Latvian forward Davis Bertans.
Davis Bertans will no longer be a player of the Charlotte Hornets.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Latvian forward was waived by the team. He had a partial guarantee on his contract with the Hornets.
It is also interesting to note that the forward was waived during the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament semifinal game against Cameroon.
The sharpshooter was traded from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Hornets in the middle of the 2023-24 season in a package that also involved Vasilije Micic and Gordon Hayward.
Charlotte Hornets were the 6th NBA team that Bertans played for in his rather lengthy NBA career.
This year, the 31-year-old player averaged 6.7 points (39.3% FG) and 1.4 rebounds in the NBA.
