The former Arizona Wildcats star draws interest from EuroLeague teams. Still, if a suitable EuroLeague opportunity doesn't materialize, the 22-year-old, 2.08-meter Lithuanian is highly expected to play for Rytas Vilnius, sources tell BasketNews.
Rytas has been pitching the former Philadelphia 76ers two-way signing with solid conditions, an important role, and the ability to develop his game, including 3-point shooting.
The Lithuanian champions foresee Tubelis as a major piece of the 2024-25 season roster.
After parting ways with the Sixers at the end of October, Tubelis joined Neptunas Klaipeda, coached by former Panathinaikos Athens head coach Georgios Vovoras.
Tubelis averaged 17.2 points (63.8% 2FG, 30.9% 3FG), 7.2 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.0 blocked shots, becoming the MVP of the entire LKL season.
In a late-season LKL win against EuroLeague’s Zalgiris, Tubelis contributed 14 points and 10 rebounds.
In another LKL win against Rytas Vilnius, Tubelis had 18 points and 10 rebounds, including a game-winning shot.
