The Detroit Pistons will secure Cade Cunningham for the long-term future.
Cunningham plans to sign a 5-year, $226 million max rookie extension with the Pistons, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.
Cunningham posted averages of 22.7 points, 7.5 assists, and 4.3 rebounds in 62 games for Detroit last season.
He missed the latter part of the season due to left knee tendinopathy.
Cunningham was the Pistons' No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
