The Sacramento Kings traded Sasha Vezenkov, Davion Mitchell, and the 45th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Jalen McDaniels.
Former EuroLeague MVP and Sacramento Kings forward Sasha Vezenkov will have a new team.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Kings traded Vezenkov, Davion Mitchell, and the 45th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for Jalen McDaniels.
Vezenkov signed a 3-year, $20 million deal with the Kings last summer. He has one guaranteed year remaining at nearly $6.7 million with a $6.9 million team option for 2025-26.
Vezenkov never found a significant role in the Kings' rotation. He averaged 5.4 points and 2.3 rebounds on 37.5% three-point shooting in 42 regular season games, with an average of 12.2 minutes per game.

Meanwhile, Mitchell finished his 3rd season with the Kings, averaging 15.3 minutes, 5.3 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game in 72 appearances during the 2023-24 campaign.
The 25-year-old guard enters the final year of his rookie contract and is set to earn $6.45 million next season.
McDaniels averaged 10.8 minutes, 3.4 points, and 1.6 rebounds per game in 50 appearances for the Raptors in the 2023-24 season.
McDaniels also enters his final year of the deal and will make $4.7 million in the upcoming season.
On Tuesday, Vezenkov's agent, Nikos Lotsos, confirmed that the Bulgarian forward received interest from EuroLeague powerhouses Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens and his former team, Olympiacos Piraeus.
"Panathinaikos contacted me by phone from time to time and has expressed its interest in the athlete. But I have told them that both Vezenkov and I want to see first if he continues in the NBA," explained Lotsos.

"As long as he does not continue there, we will first discuss with his last team in Europe, Olympiacos, giving them priority, and in the event that the discussions do not succeed, then we will probably seriously discuss with other teams as well," the agent added.
Lotsos also revealed that Olympiacos are also interested in bringing back Vezenkov.
"I have had a ceremonial conversation with the Olympiacos administration, with whom Sasha and I maintain a very good relationship. They have expressed to me their great interest in getting him back to Olympiacos if and as long as he does not continue in the NBA," said Lotsos.
