Armoni Brooks will make his overseas debut in Milan, signing a two-year deal.
EA7 Emporio Armani Milan have officially signed guard Armoni Brooks to a contract extending until the 2025-26 season. The 1.91-meter guard, hailing from Texas, joins from the Ontario Clippers of the NBA G-League.
"I am super excited to join the Olimpia Milano family," he told the official website. "Playing for a historic club like this is such a great honor that I can't wait to come to Italy and compete in one of the best leagues in the world and play against some of the best competition there is in this sport."
Brooks, 26, attended McNeill High School near Austin, Texas, before playing three years at Houston University. In 2019, despite declaring for the NBA draft, he was not selected.
Brooks initially signed with the Atlanta Hawks and made pre-season appearances but later moved to their G-League affiliate, the College Park Skyhawks.
His journey continued with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, eventually making his NBA debut with the Houston Rockets. Over three seasons, Brooks played for several NBA teams, including the Rockets, Toronto Raptors, and Brooklyn Nets, amassing 84 appearances and averaging 6.6 points per game.
This past season, Brooks played 10 games for the Nets, where he averaged 4.2 points and 1.8 rebounds in brief appearances before returning to the G-League, splitting time between Long Island and Ontario.
