Carlos Alocen parted ways with Real Madrid even though he had a contract for the 2024-25 season.
Real Madrid announced that Carlos Alocen is departing from the club despite having a contract for the upcoming season.
In 2023, Real Madrid and Alocen signed a new deal that was supposed to run until the end of the 2024-25 season. However, the 23-year-old becomes a free agent.
In November, Alocen returned to action after a 21-month break after he tore his anterior cruciate ligament in February 2022.
Alocen averaged 1.7 points, 1.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.8 PIR per game in 8 EuroLeague appearances for Real Madrid this season.
In the Spanish ACB League, he averaged 11 minutes, 3.1 points, 1.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 3.0 EFF per game in 18 matchups.
Alocen joined Real Madrid from Zaragoza in 2019. During these years with Real Madrid, Alocen became the EuroLeague champion (2023), the Spanish ACB League champion twice (2022 and 2024), and the Copa del Rey winner in 2024.
