After being out for more than a month, Kristaps Porzingis returned to the court for the NBA Finals. The Latvian center, however, has suffered another injury.

The Boston Celtics announced that Porzingis suffered a torn medial retinaculum, a tendon near the knee joint.

"He's doing anything and everything he can to be able to play," Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla said, claiming that it's a serious injury.

Porzingis is considered day-to-day, the Celtics announced.

The big man picked up the injury during the third quarter of Game 2 against the Dallas Mavericks. With only five teams managing to win the Finals after being down 0-2, the Mavs will play against the Celtics in Game 3 at 8:30 PM EST on Wednesday, June 12th.
