Oklahoma City Thunder general manager Sam Presti said that Josh Giddey had an "up-and down-year."
The Oklahoma City Thunder turned a lot of heads this season by getting deep into the playoffs.
The young team exceeded a lot of expectations, finishing the regular season as the No. 1 team in the West.
Despite the team's success, though, Josh Giddey had a disappointing year and didn't quite find his footing in a season where teammate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander emerged as a top MVP candidate.
But Thunder general manager Sam Presti believes it was just one of those seasons for Giddey.
"It was an up-and-down year.... He's 21, 21-year-olds typically have up-and-down years," Presti said as reported by The Athletic's Andrew Schlecht.

Presti added that Giddey hasn't resisted adjusting aspects of his game to help the team.
"He is tough, and he is clutch," Presti said.
Giddey only averaged 25 minutes per game in the regular season, and at times, he looked lost and out of sync - far from the player that people saw the previous season.
In the 2024 playoffs, Giddey only averaged 8.7 points on 35% shooting and 2.1 assists in only 18 minutes per game.
