Dallas Mavericks rookie Dereck Lively left Game 3 after accidentally getting kneed to the head.
Dereck Lively II exited Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals between the Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves.

Lively hit the back of his head on the knee of Karl-Anthony Towns on a rebound play in the second quarter. The Mavericks rookie was on the ground for several minutes as the game halted.
Lively was able to get back up but was helped off the court by teammate Markieff Morris and went to the locker room looking wobbly.
The team announced that Lively suffered a neck sprain. The Dallas center did not return to Game 3.
ESPN's Tim Macmahon report that Lively left the arena after the game to get a scan. As of posting, Lively is not in the NBA's concussion protocol yet.
Before the incident, Lively was acknowledged during a timeout for his All-Rookie Second Team selection.
The Mavericks have taken a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Timberwolves.
