Bickerstaff has been fired after second early playoff exit in a row.
Following a playoff exit, the Cleveland Cavaliers decided to make some bold changes.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN, the Cavs have dismissed head coach JB Bickerstaff.
Golden State Warriors assistant coach Kenny Anderson and New Orleans Pelicans associate head coach James Borrego are expected to be among candidates to replace Bickerstaff, Shams Charania from The Athletic reports.
The Bickerstaff-led Cavaliers won 99 regular-season games in the last two years but exited the playoffs early, losing to the New York Knicks in the First Round in 2023 and getting defeated by the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semifinals this year.
Under Bickerstaff, the Cavs' record improved every season in the first three years, going from 22-50 in 2020-21 to 44-38 in 2021-22 to 51-31 in 2022-23. The Cavaliers won 48 games this season.
