Crvena Zvezda released the statement confirming that the Brazilian suffered a sinus fracture and a minor concussion. Therefore, he spent the night in hospital for observation.
The Serbian club added that the surgery has not been ruled out yet.
dos Santos got into an altercation with Colson with 2 minutes and 21 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Colson swung his left arm and hit the Brazilian player in the face.
After spending some time on the floor, the guard gathered himself to get up. He was escorted out of the arena but did not return for the remainder of the game.
Colson got called for an unsportsmanlike foul, while dos Santos was also given a foul because of the altercation.
Before exiting the game, the Brazilian international had 20 points, 1 rebound, 7 assists, and 1 steal in the game for a total of 17 PIR. He was the most effective player on his team.
