Detroit Pistons center Isaiah Stewart revealed he apologized to his teammates and coaches after receiving a 3-game suspension for punching Drew Eubanks.
The Detroit Pistons forward Isaiah Stewart talked about his suspension following his return after a 3-game suspension.
Stewart was suspended for an altercation with the Phoenix Suns center Drew Eubanks. The incident occurred on February 14 when Stewart was arrested for assault for punching Eubanks before the game against the Suns.
"I always want to represent the organization in great fashion," Stewart told Omari Sankofa II. "I apologized to my teammates and coaches because it's been a tough season, and I don't want to bring anything upon them. And I'm glad they had my back."
It wasn't the first violent incident involving Stewart. Famously, Stewart barged toward LeBron James in 2021 after getting cut in the eye and had to be held back by his teammates. Last season, he got into a scuffle with Draymond Green.
Stewart averages 11.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game in 36 appearances for the Pistons this season.
