Vildoza is still suffering from a reoccurring knee injury that sidelined him in the Greek Cup's final. The player remained in Athens to continue his rehabilitation.
Luca Vildoza missed the Greek Cup games two weeks ago. The player will miss this week's EuroLeague game as well.
Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens took an unusual decision and traveled to Madrid a day earlier than the team otherwise would have. Vildoza has stayed in Athens as a result of his knee injury.
Namely, the Argentinian guard did not play in the Greek Cup's final due to a reoccurring issue with his left knee, which already needed surgery back in January and forced the player to miss four EuroLeague rounds because of it.
Meanwhile, Kostas Antetokounmpo, who left the Greek national team's game against the Netherlands, traveled with the squad to Spain. Panathinaikos medical staff will examine the player in Madrid.
All Panathinaikos players will meet in Madrid after a series of individual trips from all members of the roster who represented their national teams during the FIBA window recently. The remaining players flew from Athens straight to Madrid.
Panathinaikos are set to play against Real Madrid on Thursday, February 29th, at 20:45 CET. With 16 wins and 10 losses, Panathinaikos are currently 3rd in the EuroLeague standings.
