Experienced guard Delon Wright of the Washington Wizards will join the Miami Heat.
Delon Wright, who currently plays for the Washington Wizards, is slated to join the Miami Heat.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the player's agent stated that Wright has agreed on a contract buyout with the Wizards and will soon join the Heat.
The Miami Heat will be the player's eighth NBA team since the experienced guard has played for the Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, Toronto Raptors, Memphis Grizzlies, Detroit Pistons, and Atlanta Hawks.
Wright had signed a two-year deal with the Wizards in 2022 worth $16 million, but he has agreed on a buyout and will not have to serve the remainder of the contract.
This year, he has had minuscule statistics, averaging 4.1 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 2.5 assists on 39.3% field goal shooting in 13.8 minutes of game time.
