After letting head coach Zvezdan Mitrovic go, Galatasaray EKMAS Istanbul have found his replacement.

The club officially announced that Yakup Sekizkok will take over the position from Mitrovic.

The Montenegrin specialist was dismissed after his conflict with local fans following a defeat against JDA Bourgogne Dijon in the Basketball Champions League (BCL), where Galatasaray held a 25-point lead but ultimately lost.

Meanwhile, Sekizkok comes to Galatasaray after previously coaching Darussafaka Lassa Istanbul this season. He will get a chance to continue coaching in the BCL, as Galatasaray continue the fight in the Round of 16, while Darussafaka have already been eliminated.

Darussafaka have hired Turkish specialist Ruchan Tamsoz to replace Sekizkok.
