"Ime Udoka has always been, and still remains, very fond of Robert Williams," Haynes said in the #thisleague UNCUT podcast with Marc Stein. "So I wouldn't be surprised if Houston is in the mix."
Udoka coached Williams during their time with the Boston Celtics.
Williams suffered a season-ending right knee injury, sustaining damage to his kneecap and ligaments, but is expected to make a full recovery for next season.
Williams is owed $11.6 million this year and has two years and $25.7 million left on his deal through the 2025-26 season.
During the 2023-24 campaign, Williams averaged 6.8 points and 6.3 rebounds in 6 appearances.
