Partizan's president, Ostoja Mijailovic, said the club paid compensation to Venezia and received a letter of clearance from FIBA. As such, Caboclo will remain on Partizan's roster.

The Italian league (LegaBasket) court decided that the contract the Brazilian big man signed was valid, and he was supposed to fulfill his obligation to the club. Asked to respond to the decision, Partizan's president, Ostoja Mijailovic, provided an answer via Bojan Brezovac from Mozzart Sport.
"KK Partizan Mozzart Bet, according to FIBA's decision, paid compensation of 150,000 euros and received a LOC (letter of clearance) for the player, without which he could not even be registered. Therefore, the situation is clear, and it cannot be affected by any arbitration decision that is not even competent for this case," Mijailovic said.
The case will continue in the FIBA Appeals Court, but Caboclo is set to remain a Partizan player for the foreseeable future.
The dispute began in September when Caboclo refused to go to Venice and play for the club having previously changed his agent during the summer and successfully appeared in the 2023 FIBA World Cup for Brazil. Caboclo later joined Partizan in November.
Since joining Partizan, Caboclo has substantially impacted the Serbian club, averaging 11.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 14.1 PIR per game.
