San Antonio Spurs No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama recently expressed a sense of sadness for Cameroon.
This feeling came after Joel Embiid's decision to represent Team USA in the 2024 Paris Olympics rather than his native Cameroon or France.
Wembanyama's thoughts on the matter were shared with Spurs reporter Tom Osborn.
"I don't really have an opinion, I'm just sad for Cameroon," Wemby stated in response to the whole situation.
Embiid has opted not to represent his home country in international basketball events despite his deep-rooted connection to the nation.
