According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, Gabriel is finalizing a deal with the Boston Celtics. It is a training camp contract, Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN adds.

Gabriel played for South Sudan in a historic World Cup campaign. After participating for the first time in a tournament of such a caliber, South Sudan qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games as the best team from Africa.
Gabriel averaged 9.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks for 14.2 PIR in the tournament.
Last season, the 26-year-old played for the Lakers in the NBA, averaging 5.5 points and 4.2 rebounds in 68 games.
