Finland's 22-man list features a mix of veterans and youngsters.
With just a month remaining until the start of the 2023 FIBA World Cup, the Finnish national team's head coach Lassi Tuovi announced a 22-man extended list of candidates.
Headlined by NBA star Lauri Markkanen, who fulfilled his military duty for his home country this summer, Finland's preliminary roster features a mix of youngsters and experienced players.
"We have a positive internal competitive situation in the team and a suitable mix of veterans and challengers who will compete for places in the World Cup team," the head coach said.
Lenovo Tenerife's shooter Sasu Salin and a promising 19-year-old Miro Little join Markkanen as the possible role players en route to Japan.
In Group E of the World Cup, Finland will play against Germany, Australia, and Japan.
