Sertac Sanli's stint with FC Barcelona was completed, as the Turkish center and the Spanish powerhouse parted ways.
Sertac Sanli's contract with FC Barcelona expired on June 30, but the club has already decided that it won't be extended.
In this way, Sanli, 31, says goodbye after two seasons with the Catalan powerhouse. The Turkish center joined Barca in the summer of 2021, coming off a EuroLeague title with Anadolu Efes.
During these two years, he has played a total of 148 games, divided into 73 in the ACB League, 68 in the Euroleague, 4 in the Copa del Rey, 2 in the Spanish Super Cup and 1 in the Catalan League .
This past season, Sanli averaged 7.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and a PIR of 7.7 over 16 minutes in domestic competition. Despite his 213 centimeters, Sanli was a great external threat as evidenced by the 40% success rate from the triple. However, his numbers were a bit worse in the EuroLeague: 6.2 points and 3.3 rebounds in 15 minutes of playing time.
He also won a Catalan League (2022), a Copa del Rey (2022) and an Endesa League (2023).
Sanli can now activate his deal with Fenerbahce and return to Turkey after two years.
