With just around two months remaining until the 2023 FIBA World Cup, the picture of the US national team is starting to take shape.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN, Brooklyn Nets forward Cam Johnson has committed to play in the upcoming tournament. He will join his teammate Mikal Bridges on the roster.

Johnson, as well as Bridges, started the year with the Phoenix Suns but then got traded to the Nets as part of the Kevin Durant deal.

Johnson becomes the 10th player to commit to playing in the World Cup. So far, Jalen Brunson, Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Haliburton, Brandon Ingram, Jaren Jackson Jr., Walker Kessler, Bobby Portis, and Austin Reaves have expressed their intention to represent the country in August.

Team USA will be coached by Steve Kerr, taking the reigns from Gregg Popovich.

USA will play in the Philippines in Group C alongside Jordan, Greece, and New Zealand.
