NBA All-Star starters and captains are out, with LeBron James headlining the West and Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the East.

Results stayed quite predictable with Nikola Jokic, Zion Williamson, Stephen Curry, and Luka Doncic filling out the West. Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, Donovan Micthell, and Kyrie Irving are the four other selections from the East.

Fan (50%), player (25%), and media (25%) votes select the starters. The formula to determine a player's score is: (Fan Rank x 2 + Player Rank + Media Rank)/4.

For the seventh consecutive year, many NBA players didn't take the voting process seriously.

Arguably the most blatant example of the trend came from the four players who voted for Oklahoma City Thunder rookie Chet Holmgren, who has yet to debut in the NBA due to a Lisfranc injury to his right foot.

Simone Fontecchio, Willy Hernangomez, Boban Marjanovic, Usman Garuba, Furkan Korkmaz, Cedi Osman, Juancho Hernangomez, Omer Yurtseven, and Nikola Jovic were more notable European players, who received one or more votes to participate in the 2023 NBA All-Star Game as a starter.

All-Star Weekend will take place in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Feb. 17-19.
