The conflict led to four players, two from each team, hearing the word "ejected" from the game official, who announced the punishment.

Kings' Malik Monk and Chimezie Metu, and the Rockets' Garrison Mathews and Tari Eason were all ejected with 11:09 remaining in the fourth quarter for scuffling after Mathews bumped Monk while they chased down an errant pass into the backcourt by Houston's Josh Christopher.

Players, referees, and coaches had to intervene to break Monk and Mathews, but tensions remained high.

"I had no issue with it," Harrison Barnes said of the altercation. "At the end of the day, that's the fight that we need as a team, that's the fight that we'll need this season, and that's the fight we'll need for the playoffs."

After the multiple ejections, the Kings maintained their double-digit lead and ended up winning their third straight game 139-114, behind Domantas Sabonis' fourth triple-double of the season.
