Ja Morant scored a game-high 35 points. However, it was Steven Adams who helped Morant get plenty of shots by matching his career-high with 23 rebounds, including a career-best 13 offensive boards.
Adams posted at least 20 rebounds for the second straight game and the center's big night on the glass helped Memphis outrebound Sacramento 57-47 and score 64 points in the paint.
When asked how he got so many offensive rebounds post-game, Adams answered with the following line:
"We sucked at shooting. We kept missing shots, so I went and got them," he said.
"The honesty of Steven Adams will never get old," the Grizzlies reporter provided a response to his words, and Adams started smiling.
