Dwayne Bacon is working towards a training camp deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to Shams Charania. The camp starts on Tuesday, and the Lakers currently have only one free slot on the roster.

After spending the bigger part of the last season with AS Monaco in Europe, Dwayne Bacon has been searching for his place in the NBA ever since.

According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, Bacon is working towards a training camp deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Additionally, the team plans to sign Matt Ryan on a non-guaranteed deal, Charania reports.

Bacon joined Monaco last October and played 29 games in the EuroLeague for the club, averaging 14 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists for 10.6 PIR. In the French LNB league, the forward averaged 12.1 points, 4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists for 9.3 PIR.

Lakers training camp officially starts on Tuesday, September 27th. The team has 14 players signed to the active roster with three players on training camp deals and two players on two-way deals. Teams are allotted 20 total training camp roster spots and LA is currently at 19.
