Finland has officially announced the final 12-man roster before the upcoming EuroBasket 2022.

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Lauri Markkanen headlines the squad, while it also includes Sasu Salin and Petteri Koponen.

During the preparation, Finland won two (97-94 vs. Ukraine and 80-71 vs. Belgium) and lost three (71-75 vs. Belgium and twice vs. Lithuania 61-76 & 52-87) games. They also won both FIBA World Cup 2023 qualifiers games against Estonia (76-68) and Israel (79-73) and became the first team to clinch a spot in the World Cup.

Finland will begin its journey in EuroBasket on Thursday and face Israel.

Finland will play in Group D alongside Israel, the Czech Republic, Poland, the Netherlands, and Serbia.
