Valencia Basket have reached an agreement with Martin Hermannsson to extend his contract for the next two seasons, the Spanish club announced.

The new deal will expire on June 30, 2024, which means that by then, the point guard from Iceland will have completed four years with the team. Hermansson has played a total of 120 games with the four-time EuroCup winners.
He arrived in Valencia in the summer of 2020 from ALBA Berlin and has posted averages of 8.2 points, 1.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and a PIR of 8.5 during his time with the taronja.
However, he was seriously injured in the third game of the ACB League quarterfinals against Bitci Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz, and on June 6 he underwent surgery by the head of Valencia Basket's medical services, Dr. Ignacio Munoz, to repair the complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) of his left knee, an injury from which he continues to recover to this day.
He's expected to return to the courts no sooner than next December.
