Eurocup side Virtus Bologna (19-3) won an important match against Unahotels Reggio Emilia (12-11) after suffering in the second half. Coach Scariolo's side took the win with the final result of 78-70 (22-14, 12-12, 21-21, 23-23).
In the second half, Reggio Emilia started to climb back and in the final period they cut down Virtus' lead to just four points (63-67). Down the stretch, though, Virtus Bologna finished the game strong with important buckets from Toko Shengelia and Alessandro Pajola, putting an end to Reggio Emilia's comeback.
Kyle Weems was absolutely unstoppable in the first half. The Virtus Bologna's forward had 19 points in 19 minutes and shot 3/3 from outside. Coach Scariolo's side controlled the first half and finished up by 8 points (34-26).
Kyle Weems was the top scorer for Virtus Bologna with 26 points (7/10 2PT, 3/4 3PT, 3/3 FT), 3 rebounds, and 29 PIR.
For Reggio Emilia, on the other hand, the top scorers were Mikael Hopkins and Justin Johnson with 14 points apiece.
