Kyrie Irving will be finally allowed to play home games after the city of New York decided to lift the restrictions on non-vaccinated athletes.

With that concern now gone, Irving can also focus a little bit more on his future. At the end of the season, the point guard could use the player option on his contract, which it's worth around $36.5 million, or he could decide to decline that player option and sign a long-term deal, which would pay him around $246 million for five years.

Based on Irving's words, it looks unlikely that he'll leave the Brooklyn Nets

"For me, it has always been about being comfortable and loving where I'm at. I love it here", the point guard explained. "Once that summer hits, I know we'll have some conversations but there's no way I could leave my man 7 anywhere".

The no.7, of course, is Kevin Durant. Irving and Durant have a great relationship and signed together for the Brooklyn Nets back in 2019.
