French forward Petr Cornelie signed a two-way contract with the Denver Nuggets back in September but he didn't find much space with the Nuggets, played only 13 games, and was waived in January.

Now, Cornelie is playing with the Nuggets G League affiliate team, the Grand Rapids Gold, where he's averaging 15.7 points and 12 rebounds per game.

The French player gave a long interview to the French website BeBasket and talked briefly about his future.

The G League season is shorter than the NBA and when asked if he might return to Europe at the end of the season, Cornelie showed uncertainty.

"Honestly, I don't know because it depends on what will happen", the French forward explained. "If I manage to get a contract somewhere...I don't know what will happen in a month, we'll see".

Cornelie revealed that when he was cut by the Denver Nuggets, he received interest from several European teams but in the end he remained in the USA, signing in the G League.

"When I was cut by Denver, there was quite the interest from a few European teams", Cornelie said. "If I'll return to Europe? I don't know, it'll depend on a lot of things".
