Mike James went up against his former team, as AS Monaco (4-3) came from behind to beat CSKA Moscow (4-3) at home 97-80 (13-25, 26-27, 28-12, 30-16).

CSKA went on a massive 15-3 run to gain a dominant 18-point lead in the first quarter (25-7). Will Clyburn added two straight threes to put CSKA up 33-13.

The hosts were able cut their deficit to 13 going into halftime (39-52). CSKA's advantage increased to 16 in the third quarter (41-57), but then Monaco went on a massive 24-5 run and gained a three-point lead going into the fourth quarter.

Monaco continued playing well in the fourth, gaining their largest lead t 11 with seven minutes to go (79-68). They continued playing well and finished the game strong, winning by 17.

Donta Hall led Monaco with 17 points (8/9 2PT, 1/1 FT), 19 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block, 2 turnovers, and 25 PIR.

"Glory to God and a shout-out to my mom," Hall told reporters after the game. "I talked to her for a while before the game. I knew I had to bring the energy, with a broken nose too. Either way, broken nose or not, I’m coming."

Dwayne Bacon made a solid EuroLeague debut, ending with 11 points (2/3 2PT, 2/3 3PT, 1/2 FT), 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 11 PIR.

"We needed a win for sure," Mike James said after beating his ex-team. "We lost a tough one to Barcelona at home. We wanted to come out here and fight. They’re obviously a great team. They have Final Four aspirations. It was good to get a win and protect our home court, especially since we already lost one here."

Will Clyburn was great for CSKA, ending with 19 points (2/7 2PT, 3/5 3PT, 6/6 FT), 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 6 turnovers, and 18 PIR.
