Veteran point guard Andrea Cinciarini is expected to leave AX Armani Exchange Milan, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport and confirmed by BasketNews. The captain of the team will return to Reggio Emilia, the team he left in 2015 to join Milan's club.

The 35-year old point guard has been a very important presence in the locker room, but his contribution on the court was very limited, especially during the last two seasons. With his departure, Milan will have seven Italian players on the roster but one of them, Davide Moretti, has been rumored to leave the team on loan in search of more playing time. It remains to be seen if the team coached by Ettore Messina will make another run at Stefano Tonut, a member of the Italian NT at the Olympic Games.

Tonut is under contract with Reyer Venezia and so far his team has rebuffed the idea that he might leave this summer. The reigning MVP of the Italian league has often expressed his desire to play for a EuroLeague club but in his contract, there's not a EuroLeague escape clause for this summer, only for the next one. So a potential move to Milan remains difficult, especially at this point in the summer.
