Augustine Rubit has become a free agent. The American forward, who averaged 8.1 points, 4.2 rebounds last season in EuroLeague, has been released by his former club Zalgiris Kaunas. The Lithuanian side decided to opt-out of the player's contract, which was a 1+1 deal.

Rubit is now on the lookout for his next career stop, his fifth overall in his six-year presence in Europe. The only team for which he got to play for more than one season was Brose Baskets in Germany (2017-19). He then moved to Olympiacos Piraeus and Greece, where he averaged 8 points and 4 rebounds over 31 games.
