Ergin Ataman was full of praise for his team after a win against Monaco, especially thanking Kendrick Nunn for his performance.
Panathinaikos Aktor Athens clinched a top 3 spot in the standings after beating Monaco Basket away 76-88.
Panathinaikos was led by Kendrick Nunn, who dropped 37 points and was pretty efficient (14/17 FG, 9/12 2PT, 5/5 3PT, 4/4 FT), boasting a PIR of 43.
Panathinaikos' Head Coach Ergin Ataman was pleased with his team, and especially with Nunn:
"Amazing performance. Congrats to my players, we played perfect basketball in the first quarter both on offense and defense," Ataman started.
"Of course, we had some problems on defense at the beginning of the second half and Monaco is a very dangerous team. It was a team work, but of course also an amazing offensive performance by Kendrick Nunn."
"We played a game that was like a final for the home-court advantage and he scored 37 points. Also, Jerian Grant put in a great effort. But Kendrick Nunn's performance is one of the best I've seen so far in the EuroLeague."
"The home-court advantage was our first goal of the season. Now, we have one more game and will try to finish the regular season on the third or second position. In OAKA, we know that it will be very difficult for all our opponents to beat us in the playoffs," Ataman concluded.
