The game was a one-sided affair from the start, with Red Star dominating the first quarter 28-11 and stretching their lead to +24 by halftime.

Virtus endured another nightmare shooting night, finishing 2/22 from three-point range, while also committing 14 turnovers. Will Clyburn (12 points) and Toko Shengelia (12 points) were the only players to reach double figures for the Italian side. Meanwhile, Ognjen Dobric led Red Star with 17 points, while Filip Petrusev contributed 16 points, six assists, and four rebounds.

Zvezda's victory improves their record to 18-13, solidifying their playoff position as they chase a Final Four spot.

Virtus head coach Dusko Ivanovic acknowledged Red Star’s performance but was brutally honest about his team’s lackluster display.

Reflecting on Red Star’s strategy, Ivanovic praised their system and adaptability:

"Congratulations to Red Star, they played really well. Their guards moved the ball well, found solutions in defense, and have great shooters. I believe they are playing at a Final Four level right now. They are a Final Four team, and I hope they succeed," the Montenegrin coach praised his former team.

Ivanovic didn’t hold back in criticizing Virtus' performance:

"On the other hand, it was a sad performance from my team. We have problems, and we need to find solutions quickly. We only have the Italian league left, but we must take these remaining EuroLeague games seriously."

Continuing in Serbian, Ivanovic emphasized the team’s lack of effort and mental sharpness.

"This is far from what this team can offer. I think there is lethargy, a lack of fighting spirit. This is what bothers the team the most. We have to fight. If you lose, you lose - it can happen. But now, hard work awaits us."

With just three EuroLeague games left, Virtus will need to regroup quickly and show a response in domestic competition to salvage their season.
