Zalgiris Kaunas guard and leader Sylvain Francisco will remain with the team at least for the next season.

The Lithuanian club officially announced that the 27-year-old Frenchman has renewed his contract, extending it until the end of the 2026-27 season. The deal includes an option for Francisco to leave with a buyout in the summer of 2026.

Francisco initially signed a 1+1 contract with Zalgiris last summer after arriving from fellow EuroLeague team FC Bayern Munich.

This season, he has averaged 14.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.0 steals, and 15.3 PIR over 28 games.

His basketball journey began with Metropolitans 92 in his native France, where he made his EuroCup debut in the 2017-18 season. Throughout his career, he has also played for Paris Basketball and Chorale Roanne in France, Manresa in Spain, and Peristeri in Greece.
