Theo Maledon, who had to leave ASVEL's game vs. Maccabi with a dislocated finger, has reportedly avoided a serious injury.
LDLC ASVEL-Villerbaunne suffered its fifth consecutive defeat in the EuroLeague (95-102 against Maccabi Tel-Aviv), which certainly deprives it of their Play-in showdown chances.
But as if that were not enough, the French club also saw heir star player, Theo Maledon, get injured at the very start of this match
After three minutes of play, the guard got a finger of his left hand stuck in the jersey of Will Rayman. The French international was assisted by ASVEL's medical staff, before leaving the arena in an ambulance at half-time in order to be transferred to the hospital.
However, despite the initial concerns about the seriousness of the injury, medical examinations turned out to be reassuring.
According to Le Progres, the diagnosis suggests a dislocation of the ring finger of the left hand, but no fracture is reported. If that's the case, Maledon, who has yet to miss a single match this season, is expected to be back sooner rather than later.
